Light in Time

Capturing light in time, the particles that leave their shadows on the negative of an out-of-calibration Yashica, the noise of a city of 20 million bodies vibrating on the walls of a museum, of a library. Capturing the movement of those reflected bodies, those fluid bodies contrasted with the stoicism of the bodies of cement and steel. Anti-seismic material that bears witness to the anonymity of fluid bodies and is aware of the hardness of their intricate geometry; geometry that draws and traps shadows, just as the shutter freezes them in time.

In these refuges from the maelstrom of the city, escaping the noise, the traffic and the smell of food, Ciro stops to portray our way of relating to spaces, our ways of moving through them, ways of inviting ourselves in, their ability to also capture the light and fleetingly imprint it in their form.
