False hour

Installation with led tubes and programmable controller. Variable dimensions.

Andreani Award

Buenos Aires, 2023

False hour (88:88) is an installation that unfolds in a strange, untransmittable temporal dimension. This work invites viewers to engage in an experiential encounter with the installation, challenging the relationship we establish with art through both our bodies and intellect.

As the audience moves through it, the representation that initially seemed understood—decoded—breaks down into elements with no apparent formal connection, leaving only a fragmented vision of the piece. The tubes light up according to an intriguing, mysterious logic, prompting us to question the unique moment in our lives that this false time points to.

The artwork consists of suspended light tubes that only coalesce into meaning from a specific vantage point—the point of advantage.
